Get The Most Out Of Your Makeup: Summer Edition

Hi!! I recently did a  video for  my youtube channel with this title but I wanted to do it here also. This post is a makeup tutorial for summer time and just using from 4 to 5 beauty products that are multi use products.  For example: a bronzer as an eyeshadow, lipstick as a blush, etc.This is a quick makeup tutorial that you can do when you are in a rush or don't have all of your makeup with you. The next pictures are from the process of doing my makeup and below the pictures there's the video of the makeup tutorial so you can appreciate better the tutorial. Hope you like it :D

Beauty products used:
- Dream Fresh BB Cream in Medium Deep by Maybelline
- Invisible Concealer in Medium by Covergirl
- Bronzer in Warm Tan by ELF
- Scandaleyes Mascara in Extra Black by Rimmel
- Lipstick in Perfect Tulip by Elizabeth Arden
- Pressed Powder in Medium Deep by Avon

 Pictures:

  1. BB Cream: I'm applying BB cream that works as a foundation and sunscreen. The BB cream is better for summer because is makes your face feels light.

2. Concealer:  I'm using my concealer for two things: hide the dark circles and acne spots and as a primer. To look more awake, I use a lighter tone of concealer. As a primer, it don't work as good as an ELF primer or Urban Decay but it works somehow.

3. Bronzer: I'm using the bronzer to contour my face (doing a fish face) and as an eyeshadow. I really like this color for summer on my eyes because it's sparkly and it's a neutral color.

4. Mascara: I'm using the mascara as an eyeliner (applied with an eyeliner brush) and for my lashes. ( Sorry again for the lighting of the pictures)

5. Lipstick: I'm applying a pink color for my cheeks and for my lips. Then I blend the lipstick with my fingers.

Hi girls! I'm back with beauty posts. YEY! So, yesterday I went to the movies with my family to see Monsters University and I know that I'm 19 years old but there's a child inside me and all of us when we see movies when we were children. Pretty Little Liars (PLL) Tag!

Hi girls! This post is going to be a little different because is a  tag about one of my favorite series, Pretty Little Liars. I promise you that I will soon be doing beauty and/or fashion posts and uploading videos on my beauty channel on Youtube. I am so excited because season 4 of PLL as just started because this means more mystery and episodes to watch. So this tag was done by Dany from Bluebells and Owls and when I saw it and said: "Gina, you have to do this tag because you're a PLL fan", so here it is.

  

1.  Who is your favorite character? In this question I have the same answer as Dany.  I have to say that is between Aria and Hanna. I like them because of two things: fashion style and character. They both dress awesome and is a simple style to copy. I also like them because they both have like a rough character and that make me identify with them. Having a rough character leads to not falling for anything that A does and not giving up in finding who A is. 

2. Who do you think is behind the A team? In the past 3 seasons there's been troubles, twists, and that makes me doubt about who is behind the A team. I accidentally read like a review of the books and they said that Alison have a twin sister and that one of them is dead and the other one is not, Obviously, the one alive is A and also with outside help. But if I have to answer right away, I would say that Melissa, Spencer's sister, Mona, Mrs. Dilareuntis, A's mom, and A's brother.

3. Who do you ship? Like Dany, I have to say Spencer and Wren. They look cute together but I like Toby more.

4. Most memorable/cheesy /stupid moment? I think that moment would be when Spencer goes crazy because she thought that Toby was dead. Is fine that she cried and not talk to anybody but I think that it was a little exaggerated for her to go crazy like Mona. 

5. Favorite villain? I have to say Jenna blind or not blind. She just mess with anybody and don't care.

6. Who do you predict will or might become a villain? I really don't know because this show is unpredictable but to answer this correctly I will have to say maybe Ezra. Maybe it will be him because all of the secrets that Aria have about A and she does not want to tell him.

7. Which girl do you think has been hurt the most by A? I think that Spencer. Only with "Toby's death" is enough. Nobody would want that her boyfriend or girlfriend get killed.

8. Which girl's style do you love the most? I have to say Aria's because it is like a hippie/retro style. I really like that king of style because it fits my style. I like Hanna's style but her style is a little more expensive and high end clothing.

9. Which girl do you relate the most? I really don't "relate" with any of the character but in high school I had 3 best friends and we called ourselves PLL. I was Emily because of my sporty side so yes I relate a little bit with Emily.

10. Why did the girls keep seeing Alison? Sorry for the spoiler but is because the see her. Alison is alive, or one of the "twins". Maybe she is red coat.

11. Who is your crush on the show? Definitely Ezra. I wish I have a teacher that hot haha. He is not only HOT but he is a gentleman and takes good care of Aria. But Caleb and Jason are also my crushes.

12. Who is your least favorite character on the show? I have to say Spencer because she believes that she's better than Emily, Aria, and Hanna. She will be intelligent but the other one's are a,so intelligent but in different form. She wants to solve the mystery all by herself and not having help from her best friends. And if she have help, she doesn't care very much about their information.

13. What was the biggest shocking moment for you? When Spencer revealed herself being one of A's helper. That was a big shock for me. I couldn't believe that she would kidnapped Ezra's son. 

14. What would you do if A was after you? I really don't know. I would freak out because knowing that a "dead" person is sending me texts, and letters, is not normal. I would cooperate with the police, court and my parents so they can solve what is happening.

Hello girls! Summer is all about neon colors, looking fresh and trying something new. We wear colorful outfits, shoes and even accessories but we can't forget about the nails. This summer 2013 is all about nail art. Doing something different in your nails so they don't look pale or with one simple color. You can do whatever you like on your nails and they will look good.

If you're feeling crafty or feel like painting something, do it to your nails. You can do graphics, glitter, floral, some cartoons and even ombre. To do this nail art, there are nail pencils, brushes or just nail polish stripes that have the design already. So if this summer you want to try something new, do nail art. You don't have to be a professional, just be creative and put a lot of passion into it and you will see that the nail art will come great. You can see tutorials if you don't know how to do it.  I love to do nail art and I do it like every week. I like that my nails have something because it defines my personality. I look for pictures on the internet and copy them or search for tutorials.

NOTD: CoverGirl Smokey Taupe

Hola! This nail polish is not summerish but I really like it. Is from the CoverGirl brand. I really like the nail polishes of CoverGirl because you don't need any top coat because it has the color and the top coat in one bottle. 

The nail look for today is Smokey Taupe from CoverGirl. My grandmother bought me this nail polish and I really liked it. (My grandma is so sweet) Maybe is not like a summer nail polish but is something I can work out. Here it is

It's like brownish matte color. I like it because is like a nude color for my skin tone. Like I said earlier, this nail polish doesn't need a top coat but I use it anyways to give the nail more shine. With the top coat, my nails  are seen if I have gel nail polish, which I don't. The formulation of the nail polish is good. The nail polish lasts a lot, like a week or so. I really recommend it for those girls who wear a lot of nail polishes and want them to last. 

The bottles are like on the go. They're not big or too small, just the right size. If you need to re-touch your nail polish, this is a good nail polish bottle to carry on. They cost no more than $ 4 so it's a good price.

Colors of the Rainbow Tag :D

Hi again :D So I did this tag on Youtube but I'm going to do it too here. CoverGirl: Hunger Games New Collection

I have good news for you guys and especially for those who love the beauty products from the CoverGirl brand. CoverGirl is going to release a new makeup line inspired by the movie Hunger Games. This makeup line is called the Capitol Collection. This makeup line is perfect for those Hunger Games fans who wants to imitate the looks from Katniss or other Hunger Games cast. If you saw the movie, which is a awesome movie, you know that the makeup from the cast are very colorful, and with extreme colors.

Hunger Games; Catching Fire is not coming until November but with this makeup line you can start trying looks to wear the premiere night in any  theater. Personally, I love their products and I loved Hunger Games so I was  really excited when I heard about this news. I can't wait for this makeup line to release their makeup.

How to wear: Jean Jacket

Hello! This is my first How to Wear post. I will be doing this series of posts with different fashion and beauty essentials. This series of blog will be for you to have an  idea of how you can wear the something as shirts, skirts, shoes, accessories, etc. I'll be showing pictures of the styles and sometimes of me wearing the styles.

The first essential is the Jean Jacket. 

The demin or jean jacket (the same) is a very popular piece of clothing used by a lot of women and usually teenagers. It's usually used in blue but it also comes in white, black or when dyed in any other color. The jean jacket became very popular and use in the 19th century and from that moment on it has been a staple to combine styles. 

How to wear it...

1. Casual ( Maxi Dress)

 

For a casual look,  you can wear it as the picture with a maxi skirt with a top underneath or a maxi dress. For summer, this is a nice piece of clothing you can use it together. This outfit is also a day time look that you can wear if you're going shopping with your mom or girlfriends, to the theater, or other day time activity. Personally, I haven't tried to pull this style but this summer is something that I'm going to try. 

2. Casual (shorts)

Another casual look to wear the denim jacket is with shorts. It can be colored shorts, floral shorts, and even denim shorts. Many people say that don't combine denim with denim but I have a opposite opinion because it does look good mixing the same pattern and in this case the denim pattern. Another way that you can use it is when you go to the beach instead of wearing a cover-up, use some pretty shorts and a denim jacket or even a shirt if you want to be more comfortable.

3. For a night out

A night out look will be wearing the essential with a pretty, glamorous dress. In the left picture is combine with a pink dress. Add some heels and good accessories and the outfit will go from simple to wow. This is great for those nights that are a little bit cold. In the right picture is Carrie form the series The Carrie Diaries as she's wearing a party dress with a green jean jacket. I know that this style is from like the 60's but there are some people that still use it and I think is pretty. This means they have an open mind about how to style and re-create past decades styles.

NAIL ART: Small Triangles

Hi! Here is a nail art that I really liked when I saw it at Pinterest. There are not the same colors as in Pinterest because I use my own style in colors and did it with my two favorite colors. The photo explains the steps but I'm going to put it in words so you can read it too.

STEPS:

1. This are the materials or product to use if you are going to do this nail art. You will need: tape, 2 colors that you like and you can't forget the top coat. I use a pink Covergirl nail polish and Sally Hansen No Hard Feelings. Tip for you by me: You can use a plain color and a sparklie one or a gold nail polish.

2. First, your going to paint your nails with 2 coats of the master nail polish. This color is going to be the one that is going to show more.

3. Then, let the nail polish dry for at least half an hour so when you put the tape on your nail, the tape don't mess up the nail polish. You are going to put the tape in the form of a triangle. Tip: You can make the form of the triangle when putting it on your nail or do the form before and the put the tape.

4. When you put the tape with the form of a triangle on your nail, apply the second color that you chose in the space provided, the triangle form. Tip: Remove the tape as soon as you applied the nail polish on each finger because is you let dry the nail polish then the nail art is not going to work.

5. Of course, to finish this beautiful nail art, apply your favorite top coat. My favorite top coat is from Bettina but you can use your favorite.

6. There is the final look of the nail art. Let the nails dry for a while so you don't ruin your nails.

5. flip flops or sandals: sandals
6. scarves or hats: scarves but I don't wear too much
7. studs or dangle earrings: I have an everyday studs earrings so studs
8. necklaces or bracelets: necklaces
9. heels or flats:  both
10. cowboy boots or riding boots: riding boots
11. jacket or hoodie: jacket
12. Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe: both, they are my favorite stores
13. Abercrombie or Hollister:  I don't buy in any of these stores but Abercrombie

NOTD: Sinfulcolors Feeling Great

Hello! This is my first nail of the day post. Hope you like it

The nail look for today is Feeling Great from Sinfulcolors Professional. I had this color for a while and I saw it in my nail polish drawer and I thought that it might be a good color for summer. Here it is.

 

This is a really pretty fushia color. Is a really good and pretty color for summer for any type of skin color. I like how it goes with my skin color. The formulation of the nail polish is not thick but is not light so I found it a good formulation. Is really easy to put it on your nails and it spread nicely around your nail. You can put only 1 coat but for more light and color put 2 coats. I did two coats and then I put my Bettina Top Coat.

 You can found this nail polish and other colors at Walgreens and/or other drugstores. This only cost like 1.99 or so.
